Richard Douglas DeClue of St. Clair, MO, departed this life at his home on February 2, 2016, having reached the age of fifty-one years, two months and fourteen days. Richard was born in St. Louis, MO, on November 19, 1964, son of Ralph Curtis DeClue, Sr. and Norma Louise DeClue nee Whitson. He was blessed to have three children during his life.
Richard is survived by his mother, Norma DeClue of St. Clair, MO; by his children, Cynthia Eckstein and husband, Justin, of St. Peters, MO, Tyler DeClue of Eureka, MO and Deborah Redd of Union, MO; by four grandchildren, Dylan House and Chloe and Shyloh Eckstein, all of St. Peters and Adrian Holliday of Union; by four brothers, Ralph C. DeClue, Jr. and wife, Tina, of Imperial, MO, Darrell DeClue and wife, Tammy, of Fenton, MO, Terry Hardin of Harriman, TN and Phillip Hardin and wife, Patricia, of St. Clair; by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Ralph C. DeClue, Sr.; by one brother, David DeClue and by three sisters, Debra and Denice DeClue and Sherry Ross.
Richard was a Protestant and one of his favorite pastimes was reading his Bible. He had spent his adult life working for his father's business, DeClue Tree Service, and when his father passed he took over the business. He enjoyed working out, lifting weights and jogging. He was truly and outdoorsman at heart and never tired of enjoying nature. He especially enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sun set. Richard family meant a great deal to him and he cherished the time they shared.
A kind and loving son, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Sunset Cemetery in Pacific, MO. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. The family entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
