David Michael Keller of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Fenton, MO, on January 16, 2016, having reached the age of sixty-eight years, three months and nine days. David was born in St. Louis, MO, on October 7, 1947, son of Ronald Keller and Audrey Keller nee Wesloh. On October 11, 1985, he was united in marriage to Jeannie Marie Handlang and one son came to bless this union.

David is survived by his wife, Jeannie Keller of St. Clair, MO; by his son, Mike Keller and girlfriend, Elaina Dye, of St. Clair; by his parents-in-law, Harold and Shirley Handlang of Ballwin, MO; by two brothers-in-law, Rev. Sam Handlang of Bunker, MO and Roy Handlang and wife, Joan, of St. Louis, MO; by cousins and friends.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him as their own, Al and Olga Wesloh and by his parents, Ronald and Audrey Keller.

David was a Christian and member of New Hope Baptist Church in Sullivan, MO. He was proud to have served his country during the Vietnam War, entering April 8, 1968, and receiving his honorable discharge on March 29, 1970. He was also a retiree of Teamster's Local 600 of St. Louis, MO. David was a truck driver by trade and had been employed by Yellow Freight in St. Louis, MO, retiring after twenty-five years of service to the company. He was always an active man with a love for spending time outdoors. He was a great mechanic and working on cars was one of his hobbies. Fishing was his favorite pastime, especially when his wife and son went with him. He was a passionate fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and rarely missed watching a game. David was truly a family man and nothing made him happier than the time spent with Jeannie and Mike.

A devoted and loving husband, father, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 9:45 AM on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. John Pursley officiating. Committal services, with full military honors, was held at 11:30 AM on Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
