OBITUARY

Lucas John Chandler, known to some as Luke, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in St. Louis, MO, on December 13, 2014, having reached the age of thirty-four years, one month and fifteen days. Lucas was born in Chester, IL, on October 28, 1980, son of Robert Adams Chandler and Pamela Kay Chandler nee Bienlien. On June 15, 2002, he was united in marriage to Jennifer Stubblefield and two sons came to bless this union.

Lucas is survived by his sons, Liam and Adam Chandler of St. Clair, MO; by his parents, Robert Chandler of Warsaw, MO and Pamela Chandler of St. Clair; by his brother, Chad Chandler of St. Clair; by his grandmother, Wanda Krshul of Eureka, MO; by his nephew, Payden Chandler of St. Clair; by his former wife, Jennifer Chandler of St. Clair; his former parents-in-law, Rick and Barb Stubblefield of St. Clair; his former brother-in-law, Jared Stubblefield and wife, Megan, of Bourbon, MO; by his former grandmother-in-law, Carlene Stubblefield of Eureka; by his god-son Benjamin Bylina of Las Vegas, NV; by aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Lucas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde H. Chandler and Howard and Donna Mae Bielien; and by two uncles, Howard James Bielein and Dale Chandler.

Lucas was a Christian, having been raised in the Catholic faith at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Luebbering, MO. He was a member of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry, Local 562 of St. Louis, MO. He had been employed for about thirteen years as a technician for C.E. Jarrell Mechanical in Earth City, MO. Lucas was an outdoorsman at heart and enjoyed many outdoor activities. Hunting, fishing and going four wheeling were favorite pastimes, as was taking his jet boat out on the Meramec River. He was a sports enthusiast and shared this enthusiasm with his boys. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his sons for they were his pride and joy.

A devoted and loving and father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, great-nephew, cousin, former husband, son-in-law, brother-in-law and a dear friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him,

Visitation was held after 2:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with Parish prayer services at 3:00 PM with Father Bob Knight officiating. Memorial services were held at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Stroup officiating. Memorials may be made to the Lucas John Chandler Trust for the benefit of his children.
