OBITUARY

Nighton Hubert Wall, known to all as Nick, of Pacific, MO, departed this life in Pacific on Saturday, March 29, 2014, having reached the age of fifty-nine years and five days. Nick was born in Washington, MO, on March 24, 1955, son of Eugene Nighton Wall and Cherril June Wall nee Medley. On November 1, 1974, he was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Fenton and two children came to bless this union. In 2007 he began sharing his life with Brenda “Diane” Summers nee Dodd and their families.

Nick is survived by his daughters, Naomi Lumos and husband, Randy “Ox”, of Sullivan, MO and Angela Wall and fiancé, Jeremy Millfelt, of Pacific, MO; by his mother, Cherril Wall of St. Louis, MO; by his mother-in-law, Naomi Wilson of St. Louis by Diane’s daughter, Danielle French of St. Louis, MO; by his grandchildren, Breanna, Destiny and R.J. Lumos, all of Sullivan and Joseph Acton and Zachary Millfelt of Pacific, MO; by Diane’s granddaughter, Isabella French of St. Louis; by aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Nick was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Wall; by his wife, Margaret “Sissy” Wall; by his companion, Diane Summers; and by his sister, Deborah Wall.

Nick was a Christian having been raised in the Baptist faith. For over thirty years, he had been employed by the Rockwood School District in Glencoe, MO, having recently retired as the maintenance supervisor. Nick was an outdoorsman at heart and enjoyed many outdoor activities. Hunting and fishing were favorite hobbies, as was going boat riding on the river. He was a talented musician and played the guitar, the mandolin and the banjo and was happy entertaining family and friends. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his children and grandchildren and many happy memories were created.

A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, son, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Tom Smith officiating. Interment was in Green Mound Cemetery, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
