Merrylee Nappier nee Bell of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Washington, MO on December 7, 2012, having reached the age of seventy-three years, nine months and nineteen days. Merrylee was born in Pacific, MO on February 18, 1939, daughter of Ervin Bell and Wilma Bell nee Williams. On December 26, 1958 she was united in marriage to Robert Earl Nappier and three children came to bless this union.
Merrylee is survived by her husband, Robert Nappier, Sr. of St. Clair, MO; by two sons, Robert E. Nappier, Jr. and wife, Julie, of Villa Ridge, MO and Aaron R. Nappier and wife, Erica, of Catawissa, MO; by her daughter, Toni Gacich and husband, Tom, of St. Clair; by two grandchildren, Alex and Ian Gacich of St. Clair, MO; by one brother. brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Merrylee was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Wilma Bell.
Merrylee was a Christian and believed in the Lord as her Savior. During her working career she was employed by Holiday Inn and later at Merry Mount Manor, both located in Eureka, MO in their housekeeping departments and she also cleaned houses for others. Merrylee had a variety of interests throughout her life including traveling with her family, especially to Florida. She was an avid collector of tigers, whether stuffed toys, ceramic figurines or pictures. What meant most to Merrylee was caring for her family. Her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The many precious memories they had created will forever be cherished by them all.
A devoted and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A private committal will take place at a later date. The family of Merrylee Nappier was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
