Barbara Marie Minx of Richwoods, MO, departed this life in St. Louis, MO, on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, having reached the age of fifty-five years, three months and two days. Barbara was born in Washington, MO, on December 4, 1956, daughter of Bernie Milton Crawford and Virginia Mary Crawford nee Kramer. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have three children. On August 28, 1993 she was united in marriage to Tommy Gail Minx and their families were joined as one.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Tommy Minx of Richwoods, MO; by three children, Nichole Weeks and fiancé, Justin Kupferschmidt, of Manchester, MO, Wade Rulo and girlfriend, Chelsey Weed, of Freeburg, MO and Chad Rulo and girlfriend, Bailey Prince, of Hermann, MO; by one step-son, Clinton Minx and wife, Kimberly, of Festus, MO; by her mother, Virginia Crawford of Hermann; by eight siblings, Dorothy “Dottie”Crumble of Jefferson City, MO, Glenn Crawford and wife, Patricia, of Washington, MO, Brenda Forsee and husband, Robert, of Columbia, MO, Alice Bauer of Washington, Elizabeth “Betty” Crawford of Hermann, Joyce Halterman and husband, Jeffery, of Union, MO, Tina McClurg and boyfriend, Dean Jackson, of Hermann and Lynn Cali and husband, Mark, of Carthage, NY; by her special friends, Terry and Sonja Mosier of Belleview, MO and Mike and Beth Marath of Richwoods; by six grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Barbara was a Christian of the Pentecostal faith. She had most recently been attending the Book of Acts Pentecostal Church in Richwoods. She had made caring for her home and family her career in life and she never tired of her job. Barbara was very artistic and had a variety of interests and past-times, including doing stained glass, making lamps and jewelry, scrap-booking and making quilts. Her pieces will be treasured family heirlooms that her family will forever cherish. She was a great cook and was very good at decorating cakes. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Her kind and sweet disposition will be missed by each of them. The many wonderful memories they have created will always hold a special place in their hearts.

A kind, loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, step-mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, niece, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with the Rev. David Godat officiating. Interment was in Horine Cemetery in Richwoods, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
