OBITUARY

Tina Christina Boldt, known to most as Christina, of St. Clair, MO departed this life at home, surrounded by the love of her family, having reached the age of seventy-four years, nine months and three days. Christina was born in Herman Dale, MO on April 18, 1937, daughter of Cale Taylor and Gertrude Taylor nee Slayton. On January 19, 1957, she was united in marriage to Charles Russell Boldt, known to most as Russell, and they were blessed with fifty-five years together.

Christina is survived by her husband, Charles Russell Boldt of St. Clair; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Christina was preceded in death by her parents, Cale and Gertrude Taylor, by six brothers, A. J. Taylor, R. C. Taylor, James Taylor, Dillie Taylor, Henry Taylor and Kilver Taylor; and by four sisters, Idear Malden, Ida Taylor, Alice Avery and Pearl Hovis.

Christina was a Christian and member of Virginia Mines Church in St. Clair, MO. Christina was very active in many church functions, read her bible faithfully and was often in prayer. She had a variety of interests throughout her life including collecting dolls and crocheting, which are now treasured family heirlooms. Christina loved raising flowers, going camping and traveling. Although she had no children of her own, she loved her family and the many precious memories they have created will forever be cherished by them all.

A loving and devoted wife, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with the Rev. Bob Herron officiating. Interment was in Virginia Mines Cemetery, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
