Carolyn Faye Stahlman of Potosi, MO departed this life in Potosi, MO on October 19, 2011 having reached the age of sixty-six years, seven months and seventeen days. Carolyn was born in Lonedell, MO on March 2, 1945, daughter of James Lee Davis and Delma Davis nee Hensley. On August 13, 1969, she was united in marriage to George Stahlman and two sons came to bless this union.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, George Stahlman of Potosi, MO; by two sons, Shane Stahlman and wife, Jodi, of Roswell, GA and Ryan Stahlman of Bartlesville, OK; by three brothers, James “Butch” Davis and companion, Thelma, of Lonedell, MO Raymond Davis and wife, Trina, of Richwoods, MO and Joe Davis and wife, Rita, of St. Clair, MO; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, James and Delma Davis; by her step-father, John W. Davis; and by her brother William “Bill” Davis and his wife, Susie.

Carolyn was a Christian of the Baptist faith and long time member of the First Baptist Church of Potosi, MO. During her working years, Carolyn taught third grade at Copan Elementary School in Copan, OK, where she was employed from 1981-2002. Carolyn had a variety of interests such as crafting and collecting angels. She also made angel Christmas ornaments, which are treasured family heirlooms. She loved to cook and bake. Carolyn was like a grandma to all and was a devoted and dedicated wife and mother. The loving and wonderful time she spent with her family has created many precious memories that will be treasured forever by them all.

A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with the Rev. Jamie Haguewood officiating. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery in Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to The Leukemia Foundation.
