Obituary
OBITUARY Larry Vincent Boyer of St. Clair, MO, departed this life at his home in St. Clair, surrounded by the love of his family, on July 27, 2011 having reached the age of fifty-three years, six months and eighteen days. Larry was born in St. Louis, MO on January 9, 1958, son of Vincent Joseph Boyer and Dorothy Irene Boyer nee Fockler. As a young man Larry was united in marriage and blessed to have three sons.

Larry is survived by his sons, Bobby Boyer and wife, Kristen, of DeSoto, MO, Charles Boyer and wife, Stacey, of Potosi, MO and James Boyer of Cadet, MO; by his mother, Dorothy Boyer of St. Clair; by two brothers, John Boyer of Cadet, MO and Elmer Boyer and wife, Kim, of Old Mines, MO; by one sister, Vivian Shoults of St. Clair; by two step-grandchildren, Taylor and Ciara Ferguson of Potosi, MO; by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Boyer.

Larry was a Christian and devoted member of Canaan Land Ministries in St. Clair. He was proud to have been the “music man” at the church, running the music and operating the sound system for services. He also enjoyed caring and maintained the yard and grounds at the church. Larry was a mechanic by trade and for many years was employed at various car dealerships in the Franklin county area. He was most recently employed by the City of St. Clair Parks Department. He loved the outdoors and fishing and hunting were favorite pastimes. He was happiest when he was spending time with his boys and many wonderful memories have been created.

A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation was held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 20, 2011 with a memorial services at 5:00 PM at Canaan Land Ministries with the Rev. Fern Nye officiating. Private committal will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Canaan Land Ministries. The Boyer family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
