OBITUARY

Sandra Charlene Milliron, known to most as Sandy, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life at her home in St. Clair on January 25, 2011, having reached the age of fifty-nine years, eight months and twenty-three days. Sandy was born in Washington, MO on May 2, 1951, daughter of Lawton Horrell Komo and Betty Sue Komo nee Barber. Sandy was blessed to have one daughter. On November 18, 1988, she was united in marriage to Charles Ray Milliron.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Jamie Komo of St. Clair; by her mother, Betty Komo Johnson of St. Clair; by two brothers, Dennis Komo and wife, Barb, of St. Clair and Mark Komo of St. Clair; by one sister, Sharon Copling and husband, Herb, of St. Clair; by one great-aunt, by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Lawton Komo; by her step father, Burl Johnson; by her husband, Charles Milliron; and by her brother, Lawrence “Larry” Komo.

Sandy was a Christian and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse by profession and was currently employed at Green Park Senior Living Community in south St. Louis, MO. Sandy was a caring and loving person and enjoyed her work and caring for others. Reading and watching television were favorite pastimes. Sandy loved animals and enjoyed the companionship of dogs and cats through the years. Jamie was her pride and joy and she cherished the love they shared and especially enjoyed the traveling they were able to do together.

A devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, great-niece, niece, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 28, 2011 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with the Rev. Glenn Hammond officiating. Interment was in Cove Cemetery, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Franklin County or to the family.
