On Tuesday, June 15,2021, Pearl C. Pirker passed away at the age of 96. Pearl was born in 1924 in Whitsett, MO. to Arthur and Katie Anna Woodruff (nee Enke). Pearl had 2 brothers, Clarence Willard and younger brother Maurice Earl. Pearl was married to John Edward Pirker February 29, 1948 until John passed in 2002, they were married for 54 years. Pearl is survived by her two daughters; Judith Pirker and Patricia Hanneke and Timothy Hanneke, her son-in-law. Pearl has 3 grandchildren; Adam Hanneke (Amanda), Janet Fabick (Daniel) and Katherine Bertram (John); and 4 great grandchildren; Benjamin and Samuel Hanneke, Isabella Bertram and Baby Boy Fabick due August 2021.

John and Pearl lived in St. Louis County during their working years and retired to St. Clair, MO. Pearl was a telephone operator for 35 years at McDonald Douglas. Pearl moved to a senior community in St. Louis in her later years.

Pearl’s interests were sewing, quilting, reading, and she and John enjoyed camping at Crab Orchard Lake in southern Illinois. In retirement, John and Pearl enjoyed traveling and playing golf. Most importantly, they enjoyed spoiling their grandchildren.

Visitation and celebration of life service will be Friday, June 18,2021 at 10 AM at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home, 530 E. Springfield Ave., St. Clair, MO 63077.
