Carol Lee Harris of Robertsville, MO, departed this life in Fenton, MO, on June 5, 2021, having reached the age of eighty-one years, one month and twenty-one days. Carol was born in Renville, MN on April 15, 1940, daughter of Clarence Melvin Hanson and Evelyn Ella Hanson nee Kyle. On February 11, 1961, she was united in marriage to George Edward Harris and they were blessed to share 60 years together.
Carol is survived by her husband, George Harris of Robertsville, MO; by her son, Denver Harris and companion, Lynn Woods, of the state of MN; by one sister, Charlene McLaughlin and husband, Bill, of St. Paul, MN; by her sister-in-law, Jean Harris of Stanton, VA; by her brother-in-law, Bobby Harris of Scottsville, VA; by one step-grandchild, Cody Woods, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Evelyn Hanson, by one sister, Jeannie Motzko and by one brother-in-law, Al
Carol was a Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior. She was proud to have served her country in the United States Army. During her working career, she was employed by KTL Enterprise as a laborer that shipped out CD’s and DVD’s. Her and George loved to travel, visiting all fifty states and all provinces in Canada except Quebec. They especially loved their motorcycle trip through Alaska. She also enjoyed going to car races with George and watching him race. In her younger years, she also enjoyed knitting. What meant most to her was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever.
A kind and loving wife, mother, step-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A private committal will take place at a later date. The family of Carol Lee Harris was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
