Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Hattie Cloninger; by two brothers, Eugene and Warren Cloninger, and by two sisters, Wilma Trower and Mary Ellen Cloninger.

Joe was a Christian and member of First Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. Joe had lived in St. Clair throughout his life and had attended grade school and high school in the St. Clair Public Schools. He was well known for his great memory and love of Cardinal baseball. One never wanted to question his knowledge of the sport. Joe was very civic minded and was one of St. Clair’s most loyal supporters.

Whether a new development, a sporting event at school or anything happening in St. Clair, Joe was one hundred percent behind it. He was very proud of the town he lived his entire life in and was also very patriotic. The love and fellowship he enjoyed with friends and family will be cherished by them all forever.

A kind and loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
