Kenneth Leroy Johnson, Jr. of Union, MO departed this life in his home on February 26, 2021, having reached the age of fifty-five years, four months and three days. Kenneth was born in San Bernardino, CA on October 23, 1965, son of Kenneth Leroy Johnson, Sr. and Shirley Jean Johnson nee Brake. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have three children and he loved his wife’s son as his own.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Charlene Johnson; by his girlfriend, Patricia Turner of Union, MO; by his sons, Kenneth L. Johnson, III and wife, Chrissy, of St. Clair, MO, William L. Johnson of Union and Micheal Downey of Union; by his daughter, Juley Watson and fiancé, Freedom Wright, of St. Clair; by his brothers, Raymond DeClue of Union and George Reed and wife, Cynthia, of Union; by his sisters, Roxanna Kloppenberg and husband, David, of Union, Rochelle Fangers of Union and Clara Nevills and husband, Marvin, of Union; by eight grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth, Sr. and Shirley Johnson.

Kenneth was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith and believing in the Lord as his Savior. During his working career he had been employed by various factories in the area. Most recently he worked at Gateway Extrusions in Union, MO as a packer. Kenneth loved the outdoors and especially loved going fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed collecting match box cars and putting together puzzles. What meant most to him was time spent with his family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever.

A kind and loving companion, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with Rev. David Walker officiating. Interment was in Virginia Mines Cemetery in Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
