Patricia Jane Poeschel, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in St. Clair on August 27, 2014, having reached the age of eighty- two years, five months and nineteen days. Patricia was born in St. Louis, MO, on March 8, 1932, daughter of Ford Wilson Maness and Marjorie Belle Maness nee Lollar. On January 1, 1955, she was united in marriage to Rudolph Ernest Poeschel Sr. and three children came to bless this union.

Patricia is survived by her husband Rudolph Ernest Poeschel, Sr. of St. Clair, MO; by one son, Rudolph E. Poeschel, Jr., known to all as Rudy, of St. Clair; by two daughters, Marjorie Poeschel of St. Clair and Patricia Baker and husband, Richard, of St. Clair; by two brothers, Lee Maness of Orlando, FL and Forrest Maness of St. Clair; by two grandchildren, Matthew Baker and wife, Michelle, of Ballwin, MO and Kelly Baker of Springfield, MO; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Patricia was a Christian life long member of First Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. She was active in the Women’s Missionary Union and very active in Sunday School. In recent years, she enjoyed going to the St. Clair Senior Center and visiting with her many friends at the center. She had made caring for her home and family her career in life and she never tired of her job. Patricia had a variety of hobbies and interest throughout her life including, playing Bingo and watching her favorite shows on television. She had a keen sense of humor and she managed to keep her household happy.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Ford and Marjorie Maness; by three brothers, Ford Jr., Harry and Jim Maness; and by her infant sister, Glee Maness

A devoted and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, great and great-great aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation was held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2014 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 29, 2014, at First Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Cliff Day officiating. Internment was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO.
