Idia was preceded in death by her father, Dee Dobbs; and by her first husband, Chuck DeClue.

Idia was a Christian of the Baptist faith and in past years, had enjoyed visiting Duly Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. During her working career she was employed as a machine operator at Missouri Knife Company in St. Clair. She had also been previously employed by The Children’s Factory and Sunset Nursing Home, both in Union, MO. Idia was a member of American Legion Post # 347 Ladies Auxiliary in St. Clair and past member and Past President of VFW Post #2482 Ladies Auxiliary in St. Clair. Idia had been a devoted member of these organizations for twenty-five years, always there to work in whatever capacity was needed. She was a current member and Past Chaplain of VFW Post # 3987 Ladies Auxiliary in Sullivan, MO. Idia was a very patriotic person and evidence of that was in the time she gave to the VFW and the donations she gave to the Wounded Warrior Project. What meant most to her though, was time spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever live in their hearts.

A kind and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, niece, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
