Colton Tanner Thurman of Camdenton, MO, departed this life at his home in Camdenton, surrounded by the love of his family, on October 31, 2009, having reached the age of four years, eight months and twenty-nine days. Colton was born in Creve Coeur, MO on February 2, 2005, son of Donald Lee Thurman, Jr. and Amanda Rose Pasinski.

Colton is survived by his parents, Donald Thurman, Jr. and Amanda Pasinski of Camdenton; by his grandparents, Donald, Sr. and Karen Thurman of St. Clair, MO, Kevin McDaniel of Catawissa, MO and Margaret Welch of Barnett, MO; by his great-grandma, Patsy McDaniel of Washington, MO; by his brother, Blake Thurman of Camdenton; by his very special friends, Rusty and Natalie Rham of Kansas City, MO; by aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

The Thurman family was affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Camdenton and Colton enjoyed his visits with Rev. Aubuchon. He was a happy little boy and Shrek was his favorite character. He liked watching the deer and squirrels in his yard at home and loved to color. He loved fire trucks and was happy when he was made an honorary member of the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District. Going fishing with Daddy was another favorite pastime, as was going to McDonald’s to eat and doing Karate. Many wonderful memories were created with little Colton and his family will hold these dear forever.

A sweet and loving son, grandson, great-grandson, brother, special friend, nephew, great-nephew, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with the Rev. Robert Aubuchon officiating. Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the Just One More Day foundation for DIPG or the I Could Be Your Child Foundation for DIPG (Defuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma).
