Janet Mary Wagner of Fenton, MO, formerly of Lonedell, MO, departed this life in Fenton on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, having reached the age of seventy-one years, eight months and twenty-three days. Janet was born in St. Louis, MO, on September 5, 1942, daughter of Robert H. Turner and Grace Lynn Turner nee Stephanes. On July 15, 1961, she was united in marriage to John Albert Charles Wagner and three sons came to bless this union.

Janet is survived by her sons, John E. Wagner and wife, Donna, of Fenton, MO, Jerry R. Wagner and wife, Debbie, of Wentzville, MO and Joseph A. Wagner and wife, Dawn, of Lake St. Louis, MO; by four sisters, Marlene Turner of Arnold, MO, Virtes Braun and husband, Nick, of Lemay, MO, Jeanette Zinselemeier and husband, Ted, of Affton, MO and Juanita Hagemann of Ballwin, MO; by nine grandchildren, Justin Wagner and wife, Irina, of Jenson Beach, FL, Amber O’Connor and husband, Justin, of O’Fallon, MO, Jonathan, Nicholas and Brianna Wagner of Fenton, MO, Victoria Wyatt and husband, Jared, of Hallsville, MO, Alexis and Ellen Hartig of St. Louis and Devin Wagner of Wentzville; by five great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Grace Turner; by her husband, John A. Wagner; and by one sister, Carol Keleman.

Janet was a Christian and member of Bethel Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. During her working career she was employed as a machine operator for Haas Bakery in St. Louis, MO, retiring after over twenty years of service. She was a proud member and retiree of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Worker and Grain Millers International Union, Local # 4 in St. Louis. Janet had a variety of interests throughout her life, including working jigsaw puzzles, going to movies and gardening. She loved to work in her garden, cook and bake. Janet also liked to collect butterfly and owl memorabilia. What meant most to her was time devoted to her sons and grandchildren. Caring for her mother during the last years of her life, gave her great joy. The love shared with her family and the many precious memories created will forever live in their hearts.

A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Ben Kingston officiating. Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park in St. Clair. Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO.
