OBITUARY

Del Tulley of Kimberling City, MO, formerly of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Kimberling City on Monday, May 5, 2014, having reached the age of ninety-one years, five months and seven days. Del was born in Muhlenberg, KY on November 28, 1922, daughter of Perry Burrough Davidson and Ida Orell Davidson nee Matherly. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have one son. On June 9, 1989, she was united in marriage to William David Tulley, Jr.

Del is survived by her by one brother, Jewel R. Davidson and wife, Norma, of Cahokia, IL; by her special nephew, Daniel Davidson and fiancée, Karry, of Kimberling City, MO; by her daughter-in-law, Yvonne Carter of Lampe, AR; by her grandchildren, Lisa Lloyd, Debbie Carter and Mark Carter all of Lampe; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Del was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Ida Davidson; by her husband, William Tulley, Jr.; by her son, Mitchell “Mickey” Carter; and by two brothers, Walton Davidson and Lloyd Junior Davidson.

Del was a Christian of the Catholic faith and member of Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church in St. Louis, MO. In her younger years she was employed as a licensed practical nurse at various hospitals in Bowling Green, KY. In later years she co-managed Tulley Equipment Company in St. Louis, MO, doing all the bookwork for many years. Del had a variety of interests throughout her life, including reading, volunteering at the library and doing crochet. What meant most to her was the time she spent with her family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will live in their hearts forever.

A kind and loving mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with Father Bob Knight officiating. Interment was in St. Clare Catholic Cemetery in St. Clair. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
