Irene Elizabeth Dierker of Lonedell, MO, departed this life in Washington, MO, on Saturday, March 22, 2014, having reached the age of ninety–two years, two months and fourteen days. Irene was born in St. Clair, MO, on January 8, 1922, daughter of Julius Shelby Huff and Louise Minnie Huff nee Banderman. On December 25, 1941, she was united in marriage to Kenneth William Dierker, known to most as Bud, and four daughters came to bless this union. Irene is survived by her daughters, Karen Sue Wieda of Lonedell, MO, Dorothy Noack and husband, Stan, of St. Clair, MO, Brenda Walker and husband, Larry, of Imperial, MO and Joyce Janes and husband, Larry, of Lonedell; by five grandchildren, Raymond Wieda and wife, Dawn, of Sherwood, AR, Julianne Anderson and husband, Nathan, of Lonedell, MO, Justin Janes and wife, Jayme, of Lonedell, Branden Janes and wife, Kathy, of Grubville, MO and Kristin Noack and fiancé, Vince Castellano, of Overland, MO; by eight great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Louise Huff; her husband, Kenneth “Bud” Dierker; and by one sister, Florence Patterson. Her son-in-law, Ellis M “John”. Wieda, Jr., joined her in eternal life.

Irene was a Christian and long time member of Prospect Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. She was member of the Women’s Missionary Union, and in past years had served as a Sunday School Children’s Director, as well as a Director of Vacation Bible School. She had made caring for her home and family her career in life and she never tired of her job. She loved spending time outdoors, gardening and raising beautiful flowers. She enjoyed baking and canning the produce she raised and she would share with anyone in need. Irene was a talented seamstress and enjoyed many hand crafts including embroidery, counted cross stitch and quilting. Nothing made her happier than the time spent with her family and surrounded herself with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Prospect Baptist Church in Lonedell with the Rev. Steve Hodges and the Rev. John Pursley officiating. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to the Prospect Baptist Church Building Fund. The family of Irene Dierker entrusted the care of their love one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
