OBITUARY

Kenneth Raymond Hoffmeister, known to most as Kenny, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life on June 4, 2013 at his home in St. Clair, having reached the age of fifty-three years, seven months and eighteen days. Kenny was born in St. Louis, MO, on October 17, 1959, son of Thomas Fredrick Hoffmeister and Patricia Clare Hoffmeister nee Ritter.

Kenny is survived by three siblings, Kevin Hoffmeister of Pacific, MO, Janet Hoffmeister and Mark Hoffmeister both of St. Clair; by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Patricia Hoffmeister; and by one infant sister, Sharon Hoffmeister.

Kenny was a Christian and life long member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Leo John Steck Council 4667 of St. Clair, having reached the 3rd Degree. During Kenny’s working career he was employed as a custodian by the St. Clair Public Schools, as well as East Central College in Union, MO. Kenny had a variety of interests throughout his life; including collecting comic books, reading old westerns and watching television, especially wrestling. He also loved dogs and cats. Kenny was a sports enthusiast, being a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams and the Mizzou Tigers. What meant most to Ken was the time spent with his family. His brothers and sister held a special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all.

A kind and loving brother, nephew, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation was held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2013 with a rosary service at 7:30 PM, and after 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO. Funeral mass was held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair with Father Bob Knight officiating. Interment was in St. Clare Catholic Cemetery in St. Clair. In lieu of flowers masses are preferred.
