Evelyn Weimar of Union, MO, departed this life at her home in Union, surrounded by the love of her family, on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, having reached the age of eighty years and four days. Evelyn was born in Cave City, AR, daughter of John Cleveland Davidson and Cleo Addeline Davidson nee Tatum. On April 3, 1952 she was united in marriage to Edward Ronald Weimar and four children came to bless this union.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Edward R. Weimar, Jr., known to most as Buddy, and girlfriend, Sherry Williamson, of Union, MO, Deborah Ingram and husband, Garry, of Forsyth, MO, Carolyn Prunty and husband, Kevin, of Sullivan, MO and Bridgett Ravas and companion, Joe Emory, of Labadie, MO; by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cleo Davidson; by her husband, Edward Weimar, Sr.; by five brothers, John, Roma, Gerald, William and Larry Davidson; and by three sisters, Ruth Wyrick, Mary Collier and Mildred Holladay.

Evelyn was a Christian, having been raised in the Pentecostal faith and believing in the Lord as her Savior. She had a variety of interests throughout her life including gardening and caring for her home. In more recent years, she enjoyed playing bingo. She made caring for her family her primary responsibility in life and never tired of her job. What meant most to Evelyn was her family. Her children and grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The many precious memories they created will be cherished by them all forever.

A loving and devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Matt Smith officiating. Interment was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
