Obituary
OBITUARY

Thomas Raymond Bruns, known to most as Tom, of Cuba, MO, formerly St. Clair, MO, departed this life suddenly in Cuba on September 2, 2012, having reached the age of fifty-one years, nine months and thirty days. Tom was born in St. Louis, MO on November 3, 1960, son of Karl Ivan Lee Bruns and Celeste Joan Bruns nee Pensrum.

Tom is survived by his mother, Celeste Bruns, known to most as Lovie, of St. Clair; by his brother, Dale Bruns and wife, Wendy, of St. Clair; by his nephew, David Bruns of St. Clair; by his niece, Carla McNulty and husband, Chris, of St. Louis, MO; by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Bruns.

Tom was a Christian, having been baptized in the Catholic faith at a young age. In 1988, he began his employment with Olin Brass in Cuba, MO where he was currently working as a over head crane operator. During the years he lived in St. Clair, he had been a member of the St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department, the St. Clair Ambulance and was a charter member of the St. Clair Elk’s Lodge # 2651. He was a sports enthusiast and avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues and enjoyed watching all the football teams. His favorite pastime was the spending time and fellowshipping with friends at “The East Office” in Cuba. Tom loved music, especially old time rock and roll and had a great collection of music that he was always willing to share with friends. Fishing and doing woodworking were other hobbies that Tom enjoyed. Nothing made him happier than the time he spent with his family and the many wonderful memories created will give them all comfort in the difficult days ahead.

A kind and loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, treasured friend and co-worker, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
