Ginger was born in St. Clair on September 3, 1948, daughter of Glen Lloyd Sohn and Silven Marie Sohn nee Wilcox, known to most as Sylvia. On October 30, 1965 she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Sohn. Although she had no children of her own, she helped raise her niece, Sylvia, and her nephew, Richard, and loved them as her own.

Ginger is survived by her special nephew, Richard “Pete” Turner, Jr. of St. Clair, MO; by her special niece, Sylvia M. Gillette and husband, Nicholas, of St. Clair; by one brother, Gene Sohn and wife, Nadine, of the state of Mississippi; by two sisters, Lena “Maxine” Babb and husband, Danny, of St. Clair and Carol Sohn of Festus, MO; by her brother-in-law, Richard Corter of Winfield, MO; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Silven Sohn; by her husband, Robert Sohn; by two brothers, Glen “Ray” Sohn and Gary Sohn; and by two sisters, Arlene Sohn and Barbara Sohn. She was joined in death by her sister, Darlene Corter.

Ginger was a Christian of the Baptist faith, believing in the Lord as her Savior. During her working years she was employed as a piece worker at International Shoe Company for about thirty years and then at Brown Shoe Company for about two years. Ginger was a past member of Order of Eastern Star, St. Clair Chapter 96. Ginger had a variety of hobbies and interests throughout her life including cooking, cleaning, gardening and doing yard work. She also loved to go fishing and watch action movies. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and rarely missed watching their games. Above all else, spending time with her family gave her the greatest joy and many wonderful memories were created.

A kind and loving special aunt, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
