Connie Sue Pierce of Union, MO, formerly St. Clair, MO, departed this life in St. Clair on Thursday, April 26, 2012, having reached the age of fifty-six years, ten months and eleven days. Connie was born in Washington, MO, on June 15, 1955, daughter of Jerry Pierce, Jr. and Charlene Joyce Pierce nee Trentman.
Connie is survived by her mother, Charlene Pierce, of St. Clair, MO; by her siblings, Randall Pierce and wife, Carol, of Pacific, MO, Douglas Pierce and wife, Debby, of Minneapolis, MN and Scott Pierce of St. Clair; by her nieces, Erin, Emily and Shannon; by her aunts, Olga Pierce and Pauline Boyster; by cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Pierce, Jr.; by her aunt, Lela Showen; and by her uncles, Roy Pierce, Curtis Showen and Clarence Boyster.
Connie was a Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior, and often visited Grace Family Church in Union, MO. She had a humanitarian spirit, sponsoring children in Central America and also providing for the children in her neighborhood. Connie had a very caring and loving personality, as is evidence of her deeds. Another passion of hers was writing poetry. In recent years she spent much time caring for her mother. Connie loved her family and although she had no children of her own, she loved her nieces as her own. The many wonderful memories they had shared will forever be cherished by them all. As a final act of giving, Connie gifted her body to the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO.
A kind and loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial services were held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Crestview Memorial Park’s Mausoleum Chapel in St. Clair, MO with Mary Fox officiating.. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, Washington, MO. The Pierce family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
