Willard was born in Dexter, MO, on September 28, 1938, son of Holand Fields and Ola Mae Fields. On September 18, 1975 he was united in marriage to Margaret Elizabeth Loveless nee Harling and one child came to bless this union; and he loved her children as his own.

Willard is survived by his wife, Margaret Fields, of St. Clair, MO; by his children, Geniene Chitwood and husband, Dwight, of Union, MO, Michael Loveless and wife, Lonna, of DeSoto, MO and Eric Fields of St. Clair; by two brothers, Elbon and Winford Fields; by nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Holand and Ola Mae Fields; by two sons, Ronald and James Loveless; and by eight siblings.

Willard was a Christian and believed in the Lord as his Savior. During his working years, he worked as tractor trailer mechanic for a tractor trailer repair company in Litchfield, IL. Willard had a variety of interests throughout his life including fishing, hunting and feeding and watching birds. Most of all, Willard was happiest when spending time with his family. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs.

A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
