Bernetta Lucille Enloe of Brentwood, MO, departed this life on Monday, August 24, 2009, in Warrenton, having reached the age of ninety years, one month and twenty-two days. Bertetta was born in St. Clair, MO, on July 2, 1919, daughter of Anthony Bert Jones and Maggie Jane Jones nee Harms. On June 5, 1936, Bertetta was united in marriage to Roscoe Shookman Enloe and three children came to bless this union.
Bertetta is survived by her son, Paul R. Enloe of Brentwood, MO; by two daughters, Barbara A. Scott and husband, Steve, of Wright City; and Jeanne Harned and husband, Steve, of Raleigh, NC; by one brother, George Jones and wife, Shirley, of Union; by three sisters, Dorothy Weida and husband, Eldon, of St. Peters, MO, Margaret Kroeter and husband, Gilbert, of Union and Virginia Lindemann of St. Clair; by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Bertetta was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Maggie Jones; by her husband, Roscoe Enloe; by two brothers, Ernest Jones and Anthony Jones; by five sisters, Ruth Butler, Agusta Todd, Olive Hoyt, Gertrude Jones and Josephine Sohn.
Bertetta was a Christian and believed in her Lord as Savior. During her working years, Bertetta was employed by International Shoe Company and Famous Barr. Bertetta loved going shopping and spending time with her children and their families.
A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with Jeanne Harned officiating. Interment in Fisher Cemetery, St. Clair. Memorials may be made to Fisher Cemetery Fund.
