Obituary
OBITUARY Paul Harry Schnatz of Valley Park, MO, departed this life at his surrounded by the love of his friends, on January 25, 2012, having reached the age of fifty-three years, five months and twenty-one days. Paul was born in St. Louis, MO on August 4, 1958, son of Peter Schnatz, Sr. and Charlotta Kate Schnatz nee Lehmann. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have one son.

Paul is survived by his close friends, Tommy Shirrell and wife, Patti, of Hillsboro, MO, Wayne Rothgeb and wife, Julie, of Arnold, MO, Leo Pfefferkern of Valley Park, MO and Freddy Reece and wife, Bobbie, of Valley Park; by one brother, Harry Schnatz of Fenton, MO; by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Peter, Sr. and Charlotta Schnatz; by his son, Jason Schnatz; and by one brother, Peter Schnatz, Jr.

Paul had been employed for the past twenty-three years at McBride and Son Homes in Chesterfield, MO as a laborer in residential construction. He was also a member and retiree of Laborers’ Local 110 in St. Louis. Paul was an outdoorsman at heart and loved to go hunting and fishing. Many wonderful memories were created with his close friends on their many hunting trips in Northern United States. He was an avid NASCAR fan and rarely missed watching the races. He was happiest when he was spending time with his son as he was his pride and joy. The fellowship he shared with his buddies has created many wonderful memories for them all.

A devoted and loving close friend, brother, uncle, cousin and fellow co-worker and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation was held from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair followed by committal at Cove Cemetery, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the family.
