OBITUARY

Janet Rita Daniels of St. Clair, MO, departed this life at Fenton, MO on October 14, 2010, having reached the age of fifty-nine years and twenty-seven days. Janet was born in St. Louis, MO on September 17, 1951, daughter of James Warren Jokisch and Dorothy Gladys Jokisch nee Biller. As a young woman, she was united in marriage and blessed to have one son.

Janet is survived by her son, Derek Daniels and wife, Justine, of St. Clair; by one daughter, Corrie Meador and husband, Eric, of Loveland, CO; by two grandchildren, Corey Pfaff of St. Clair and Shea Nadine Daniels of St. Clair; by four brothers, Richard Jokisch and wife, Cynthia, of Olathe, KS, Steven Jokisch of Festus, MO, Gary Jokisch of St. James, MO and David Jokisch and wife, Linda, of Desoto, KS; by two sisters, Susan McClanahan of Festus and Laura Giger of St. Clair; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Jokisch; and by one sister, Linda Burns.

Janet was raised in the Catholic faith and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Arnold, MO. In recent years, she enjoyed visiting various churchs in St. Clair. Janet was employed for past five years as a machine operator at Aurora Technologies in Pacific, MO. Janet enjoyed quiet times and spent time reading and watching movies. She was passionate about pets and caring for the stray animals that came her way. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was happiest when she was spending time with them and her children.

A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation was held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with parish prayer services at 7:00 PM with Father Bob Knight officiating. Graveside services were held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Arnold, MO with Father Mark Whitman officiating. Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
