Florence Edna Hall of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Washington, MO on July 24, 2010, having reached the age of ninety years, nine months and fifteen days. Florence was born in Bourbon, MO on October 9, 1919, daughter of Charles Jacob Harmon and Rose “Blanche” Harmon nee Stephens. On September 28, 1940, she was united in marriage to Ray Clifford Hall and one daughter came to bless this union.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Huff and husband, Gary, of St. Clair; by one sister, Mary Duncan of St. Clair; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephew, cousins, other relatives and many friend.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and blanche Harmon; by her husband, Ray Hall; by two brothers, John Harmon and Austin Sloan Harmon; and by three sisters, Ruth Weatherly, Margaret Conrad and Freida Reed.

Florence was a Christian of the Baptist faith. During her working years, she had been employed by Deb Shoe Company in St. Clair, retiring after eighteen years of employment. Caring for her home and family was Florence’s first priority. She loved to work in her garden and enjoyed raising beautiful flowers. Quilting and sewing were other favorite hobbies. Florence loved to play cards, especially Pinochle and she and Ray enjoyed playing cards with friends. Her daughter, Rhonda, was Florence’s pride and joy and she cherished the love and wonderful times they shared.

A devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, great and great-great aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair with the Rev. Dickie Hinson officiating. Committal services were held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair. Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
