Obituary
OBITUARY

Theresa Sue Roark of Union, MO, departed this life in Richmond Heights, MO, on March 4, 2021, having reached the age of fifty-seven years, three months and four days. Theresa was born in St. Louis, MO, on November 30, 1963, daughter of Clifford Minzio Roark and Geraldine Theresa Roark nee Burdolt. As a young woman she was united in marriage and blessed to have one son.

Theresa is survived by her son, Darren Lee Leuthauser of Pacific, MO; by three sisters, Kathy Roark of Jefferson City, MO, Karen Lamberson of Jacksonville, FL and Carla Masterson and husband, Buddy, of Evansville, IN; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Geraldine Roark, and by one sister, Jill Shelton.

Theresa was a Christian of the Baptist faith and believed in the Lord as her Savior. She was a member and helped organize the Golden Girls Bible Group at the nursing facility where she lived. Throughout her younger years, she made caring for her home and son her career in life and she never tired of her job. Theresa enjoyed going out to eat, travelling and visiting other states and collecting Indian artifacts. She took special pride in quitting smoking on her own. Theresa also loved animals, especially dogs. What meant most to her was the time spent with family and the fellowship of friends. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever be cherished by them all.

A kind and loving mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services were held at 12:30 PM Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Prospect Cemetery, Lonedell, MO, with the Rev. Tom Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
