Lawrence Robert Talleur, known to all as Larry, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Pacific, MO, on December 29, 2020, having reached the age of seventy-four years, six months and five days. Larry was born in St. Louis, MO, on June 24, 1946, son of William Joseph Talleur and Mabel Talleur nee Schelker. On May 13, 1967, he was united in marriage to Caroline Louise Large and three children came to bless this union.

Larry is survived by one son, Greg Talleur and wife, Janell, of St. Clair, MO; by four grandchildren, Ashton Arban and husband, Nathan, of Villa Ridge, MO, Alexis Talleur, and Ethan Talleur and Emma Talleur, all of St. Clair; by two great-grandchildren, Khloe and Molly Arban of Villa Ridge; by his son-in-law, Archie Pier, of St. Clair; by his sister-in-law, Carol Ann Talleur of High Ridge, MO; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel Talleur; by his wife, Caroline Talleur; by one son, Joseph Talleur; by his daughter, Wendi Pier, and by his brother, William Talleur.

Larry was a Christian and longtime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Clair, MO. He was very active in many church functions, especially in the church Backpack Program and volunteered many hours to do whatever needed done at the church. During his working career, he was employed by the United States Postal Service in St. Louis, MO, retiring as a supervisor after thirty-five years of service. He enjoyed working in his garden, whether landscaping or caring for his flowers and plants. He was a friendly and outgoing man that loved visiting and fellowshipping with people. What meant most to him was time spent with family. His children and grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, as he did in their hearts. The love they shared and many memories they created will never be forgotten.

A kind and loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2020, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1500 S. Outer Rd. St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. John Rhoads officiating. Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Backpack Program. The family of Larry Talleur entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair.
