Ida Mae Gaither of Villa Ridge, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on November 17, 2020, having reached the age of seventy-nine years, two months and seventeen days. Ida was born in Henryetta, OK on September 4, 1941, daughter of Casemiro Acosta and Amanda Acosta nee Smith. As a young woman she was united in marriage to Jimmie Lee Gaither, known to most as Jim, on June 25, 1960 and blessed to have three children.
Ida is survived by her husband, Jim Gaither of Villa Ridge; by two children, Roseita Cowert and husband, Barry, of Villa Ridge and Robert Gaither of St. Clair, MO; by her daughter-in-law, Barb Gaither and significant other, Tony Hindricks, of Marthasville, MO; by seven grandchildren, Eric Gaither and wife, Ashley, of Bennett Springs, MO, Tyler Gaither and wife, Megan, of Lonedell, MO, Lauren Votrain and husband, Travis, of Union, MO, Ashten Cooksey and boyfriend, Tyler Fisher, of Union, Clinton Cowsert and wife, Kellie, of Grey Summit, MO, Kolten Gaither and fiancé, Brittany Husted, of Union and Devin Gaither of Union; by 9 great-grandchildren; by her sister, Rita Gross of Glenpool, OK; by her sister-in-law, Jimmye Acosta of Jenks, OK; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Casemiro and Amanda Acosta; by one son, Frank Gaither; by three brothers, James, Matthew and Pat Acosta; and by three sisters, Rosie Nieto, Johnny Nieto and Infant Judy Acosta.
