James Eugene Heck, known to most as Jim, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Pacific, MO, on November 15, 2020, having reached the age of sixty-eight years, seven months and twenty-five days. Jim was born in Moselle, MO, on March 20, 1952, son of Stanley Eugene Heck and Fern Lorene Heck nee Thomas. As a young man, he was blessed to have one daughter.
Jim is survived by his life companion, Debbie Norvell of St. Clair, MO; by Debbie’s son, Travis Norvell and wife, Shelly, of Petaluma, CA; by his daughter, Julie Heck of St. Charles, MO; by one sister, Sara Heck of Moselle, MO; by one aunt, one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Fern Heck; by three siblings, David Roy Heck, Ruth Ann Luechtefeld and Sandra Baecker, and by one niece, Sarah Mueller.
Jim was a Christian of the Baptist faith and past member of Faith Baptist Church in Moselle, MO. For about ten years, Jim had owned and operated J and D Trucking Company in St. Louis, MO. He then went on to obtain his real estate license and for the last twenty-years was employed as a sales associate for Prudential Alliance Realtors in Washington, MO. Jim was an outdoorsman at heart and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was passionate about football, having played in his youth and remained an avid fan. Nothing meant more to Jim than the time he spent with his family. The love they shared and many wonderful memories created will never be forgotten.
A devoted and loving companion, father, step-father, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Campbell Cemetery in Belle, MO, with the Rev. Fred Banderman officiating. Memorials may be made to the family. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
