OBITUARY

Floyd David Carver of Robertsville, MO, departed this life at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, on October 3, 2020, having reached the age of eighty-one years, three months and twelve days. Floyd was born in McGee, MO, on June 21, 1939, son of Jesse Edward Carver and Irene Carver nee Jaco. As a young man he was united in marriage and blessed to have six children. On February 14, 1987, he was united in marriage to Linda Diane Turner nee Crossen and their families were joined as one. Linda joined Floyd in Heaven on October 8, 2020.

Floyd is survived by eight children, Floyd Steven Carver, known to most as Steve, and wife, Cissy, of St. Clair, MO, David Scott Carver, known to most as Scott, and wife, Beverly, of Pacific, MO, Denise Bradford and significant other, Perry, of St. Clair, Jeffry Carver and wife, Debbie, of Dittmer, MO, Lisa Turner of Potosi, MO, Pamela Johnson and husband, Steve, of Sullivan, MO, Karen Lamar and husband, Ralph, of Festus, MO, and Matthew Carver and wife, Esther, of House Springs, MO; by two sister, Edna Sanders and husband, T.J., of St. Peters, MO, and Beulah Clubbs of the state of Florida; by twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Irene Carver, and by four siblings, Fred, Chester and Gene Carver and Vetta Dean Clubbs.

For the last eighteen years of his working career, Floyd had been employed as a mechanic by the Franklin County Highway Department in Union, MO. He was an outdoorsman at heart and loving to go hunting and fishing. His passion was riding horses and in recent years had spent many hours camping and trail riding on his walking horses. Nothing made him happier than the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, as each of them held a special place in his heart.

A loving and devoted father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2020, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with Deacon Terry Sanders officiating. A private committal will be held at a later date at the New Hope McGee Cemetery in McGee, MO.
