Mary Marie Keen Bell of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Union, MO, on July 17, 2020, having reached the age of ninety-six years, four months and three days. Mary was born in Blackwell, MO< on March 14, 1924, daughter of Edgar Lewis Fisher and Birdie Mae Fisher nee DeClue. On August 7, 1939, she was united in marriage to Sarch Keen and five children came to bless this union. On October 11, 1980, she was united in marriage to Herman Bell and their families were joined as one.

Mary is survived by her children, Elmer Keen and wife, Sheryl, of Jacksboro, TN, Robert Keen and wife, Carol, of Mt. Vernon, OH, Elsie Buchholz and life companion, Calvin Sansoucie, of Union, MO, Betty Brewer and husband, Adrian, of St. Clair and Virginia Kober, known to most as Jenny, and husband, Jeff, of Pacific, MO; by one step-son, Robert Bell and wife, Kay; by one brother, Charles Fisher and wife, Sharon, of Union; by thirteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great, great-great and great-great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Birdie Fisher; by her husbands, Sarch Keen and Herman Bell; by two grandchildren, Cheryl Fields and Kenneth Buchholtz; by five brothers, Earl, Floyd, Raymond, Carl and Everett, known to all as Buck, Fisher, and by four sisters, Lula Bell Brooksher, Margie Wood, Rose Reeves and Dorothy Fisher.

Mary was a Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior. She was of the Baptist faith and had enjoyed attending Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lonedell, MO. She had made caring for her home and family her primary career in life. After her children were grown, she had worked in the housekeeping department of Sunset Healthcare in Union, MO, for about eight years. Mary loved spending time outdoors, tending to her flower gardens. She had also gardened and canned much of the produce she raised. Making quilts was another of her hobbies and they will now be treasured family heirlooms for years to come. Mary’s family was her pride and joy and she cherished the time spent with each of them.

A devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great, great-great and great-great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Fern Nye officiating. Interment was in Cove Cemetery, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to Cove Cemetery.
