OBITUARY

Marcia Lynn Suntrup, known to most as Marty, of St. Clair, MO, departed this life at her home on February 25, 2020, having reached the age of fifty-five years, eleven months and twelve days. Marty was born in Washington, MO, on March 13, 1964, daughter of Theodore Michael Suntrup, Jr., known to all as Bud, and Charlene Josephine Suntrup nee Monzyk.

Marty is survived by five siblings, Linda Haskins, Mary Suntrup, Debra Busby and husband, Frank, Paul Suntrup and Glen Suntrup and wife, Marshia, all of St. Clair, MO; by five nieces and nephews, Doug Suntrup and wife, Samantha, of Bellevue, NE, Ashley Haskins of St. Clair, Lucas Haskins and fiancée, Ellie, of St. Clair, Ben Suntrup and wife, Courtney, of St. Peters, MO, and Tony Busby and fiancée, Shannah, of St. Clair; by great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Marty was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Charlene Suntrup; by one brother, John Suntrup, and by three nephews and one niece, Jesse and David Busby and Joseph and Heather Haskins.

Marty was a Christian and life long member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO. After high school she had furthered her education and obtained an Associates Degree as a Laboratory Technician. She was currently employed at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO, having been there for about fifteen years. She was proud to have served her country in the Army National Guard. Marty loved spending time outdoors and gardening was one of her favorite pastimes. She enjoyed raising vegetables and growing beautiful flowers. She was also an avid reader. Marty enjoyed the companionship of her dogs and was proud to say that they were both rescue dogs that she enjoyed taking care of. Although she had no children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews dearly and spent as much time with them as she possibly could.

A kind and loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation was held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO with rosary services at 7:30 PM. Funeral mass was held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 2, 2020, at St. Clare Catholic Church with Father Eric Kunz officiating. Interment was in the St. Clare Catholic Cemetery, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to St. Clare Catholic Cemetery.
