Raymond Lee DeClue, Jr., known to most as Sonny, of St. Louis, MO, formerly St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Villa Ridge, MO, on December 23, 2019, having reached the age of forty-one years, two months and four days. Sonny was born in Columbia, MO, on October 19, 1978, son of Raymond Lee DeClue, Sr. and Emily Lucille DeClue nee Dickinson. As a young man he was united in marriage to Sherry Morris and he loved her children as his own.

Sonny is survived by his mother, Emily Dennis and husband, Bill, of St. Clair, MO; by two brothers, Tom Moss and life companion, Deanna Frioli, of Union, MO and David Moss of St. Louis, MO; by his sisters, Theresa Fink and husband, Art, of Gerald, MO, and Angie Hinson and husband, Dan, of St. Clair; by his wife, Sherry Morris of Villa Ridge, MO; by his step-children, Pierce, Kyra and Karma, all of Villa Ridge; by his parents-in-law, Delores and Hank Zweifel, of Pacific, MO; by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Sonny was preceded in death by his father, Raymond DeClue, Sr., and by one brother, Kevin Moss.

Sonny was a Christian believing in the Lord. His favorite piece of jewelry was his crucifix necklace. He was a self-employed tattoo artist by trade and also enjoyed painting and drawing. Another hobby of his was playing handball. Sonny had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed riding bikes of all kinds. He had even built his own chopper bicycle and rode it down Page Avenue. He loved spending time with family and friends, and the many memories they created will live on in their hearts forever.

A kind and loving son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, husband, step-father, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Charles Keith officiating. Interment was in Fairview United Methodist Cemetery in Grubville, MO. Memorials may be made to the cemetery.
