Howard Henry Hoffman of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Creve Coeur, MO, on December 23, 2019, having reached the age of seventy-six years and two days. Howard was born in St. Clair on December 21, 1943, son of Oscar Charles Hoffman and Nora LaVerne Hoffman nee McDermott. On February 27, 1965, he was united in marriage to Linda Kay Pieske and four children came to bless this union.

Howard is survived by his wife, Linda Hoffman of St. Clair, MO; by his sons, Ronald Hoffman and Sarah, of St. Clair, David Hoffman and wife, Janette, of St. Clair and Philip Hoffman and wife, Jen, of Farmington, MO; by one sister, Ruth Ann Schaffart of Kewadin, MI; by fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild on the way, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Nora Hoffman; by his daughter, Kimberly Hoffman; by his brothers, Gilbert Hoffman, known to all as Gib, Leroy Hoffman and Larry Hoffman, and by one sister, Margie Hoffman.

Howard was a Christian of the Catholic faith and member of the St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO. During his working career he was employed by Daimler-Chrysler Corporation in Fenton, MO, working on the assembly line, retiring after many years of service. He was also a member and retiree of the United Auto Workers Local 110 of St. Louis, MO. He was a past member of Elks Lodge 2651 in St. Clair, MO, as well as Knights of Columbus Council 4667 of St. Clair. Howard had a variety of interests throughout his life, including fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed working on cars in his younger years and loved to sing and square dance. He was an outgoing and friendly man who knew just about everyone in town and enjoyed visiting with them. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and he especially liked to watch them in their school activities and sporting events.

A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and treasured friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral mass was held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 28, 2019, at St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO with Father Eric Kunz officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date.
