OBITUARY

Wilma Lauvene Brown of Denver, CO, formerly Robertsville, MO, departed this life in Littleton, CO, on November 19, 2019, having reached the age of eighty-five years, eight months and one day. Wilma was born in Robertsville, MO, on March 18, 1934, daughter of Herman Fleming and Louise Fleming nee Bland. Having been raised by her grandmother, she used the name of Bland until she married. On February 11, 1950, she was united in marriage to Mack Brown Jr. and four children came to bless this union.

Wilma is survived by two children, Jeffrey Brown and wife, Gail, of Kentucky and Mary Ann Kwamina of Denver, CO; by one brother, Ernest Hulsey and wife, Sandy, of Gray Summit, MO; by two sisters, Sylvia Barry of Florissant, MO and Carol Jeanette Moore and husband, Pastor Melvin, of Webster Groves, MO; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Louise; by two sons, Mack Edward Brown, known to many as Perry, and Elliott Brown; by two brothers, Clifford and Jacob Hulsey, and by one sister, Shirley Yokley.

Wilma was a devoted Christian and member of Potter House of Denver, CO and past member of Church of God and Christ in Robertsville, MO. During her working years, she had her own cleaning service and worked for many in the Franklin County area. She was an avid reader and especially liked reading poetry. In recent years, her favorite pastime was watching favorite television programs. Nothing made her happier than the time she spent with her family.

A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. Kenneth Lawson officiating. Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair, MO.
