OBITUARY

Anna Kay Miller of Lonedell, MO, formerly Barnhart, MO, departed this life in St. Clair, MO, on November 17, 2019, having reached the age of ninety-four years, five months and twenty-four days. Anna was born in Auxvasse, MO, on May 13, 1925, daughter of Kay Maupin and Anne Franklin Maupin nee Henderson. On July 11, 1953, she was united in marriage to Russell Charles Miller and three children came to bless this union.

Anna is survived by her children, James R. Miller of St. Louis, MO< Anne Miller of Cadet, MO and Jane Green and husband, Jimmie, of Lonedell, MO; by six grandchildren, Justine Green and boyfriend, Patrick Kraus, of St. Louis, MO, Jaime Green and fiancé, Adam Brott, of St. Clair, MO, Kevin Kraemer Jr. and fiancé, Jan, of Barnhardt, MO, Russell Kraemer of Kimmswick, MO, Nicole McDowell and husband, Tim, of Bonne Terre, MO, and Jennifer Murray and husband, Michael, of Marthasville, MO; by five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Kay and Anne Maupin; by her husband, Russell Miller; by two brothers, James and William Maupin, and by four sisters, Frances Maupin, Martha Parrish, Virginia Simpson and Mary Books.

Anna was a Christian and member of the Rock Presbyterian Church in Imperial, MO. She was an outgoing lady and past member of the Kimmswick Historical Society, the Kimmswick Garden Club and had volunteered to deliver meals on wheels. As a young woman she had worked outside of the home as a reservationist for Trans World Airlines for several years. For most of her life, Anna had made caring for her home and family her career and first priority and she never tired of her job. Her hobbies included gardening and playing Bridge with her friends. Nothing made her happier than the time she spent with her children and grandchildren and many wonderful memories were created.

A kind and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great and great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial services were held at Rock Presbyterian Church, 6439 US Hwy 61/67, Imperial, MO, 63052 at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 4, 2020 with the Rev. Stephanie Knopf officiating. Anna gifted her body to Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis MO. Memorials may be made to the Lonedell R-14 School Scholarship Fund, Lonedell, MO. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
