Dorothy Marie King of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Fenton, MO, on October 20, 2019, having reached the age of seventy-two years, nine months and twenty-one days. Dorothy was born in Marble Hill, MO, on December 29, 1946, daughter of Paul Martin and Gladys May Martin nee Welker. On July 31, 1965, she was united in marriage to Douglas Gordon King and they were blessed to have four children and raised on grandchild as their own.

Dorothy is survived by five children, Sheila Marler and husband, Tom, Tracy King, Rev. Bobby King and wife, Melody, Marcie King and Ariel Jones, all of St. Clair, MO; by two brothers, Gary Martin of Barnhardt, MO, and Michael Lincoln, of Marble Hill, MO; by two sisters, Bonnie Haynes of Anna, IL and Shirley Eaker of Marble Hill; by her long time best friend, Sue Lowe of St. Clair; by twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Martin and Gladys Martin Lincoln; by her step-father, Paul Lincoln; by her husband, Douglas King; by four brothers, Larry Martin, Roger Lincoln, Ronnie Lincoln and Ike Lincoln, and by one sister, Donna Kay Burkman.

Dorothy was a Christian and longtime member of the First Assembly of God Church in St. Clair, MO. She was a very active member of her church and spent time visiting home bound and nursing home residents. She had made caring for her home and family her career in life and she never tired of her job. Going to church was one of her favorite pastimes. When her children had families of their own, her grandchildren were always a priority to her and she cherished the time they spent together.

A devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and love her.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. David Godat officiating. Interment was in Cove Cemetery, St. Clair, MO.
