OBITUARY

Kaye Margaret Nevills of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Creve Coeur, MO, on August 16, 2019, having reached the age of seventy-six years, five months and eighteen days. Kaye was born in Hamilton, TX, on February 28, 1943, daughter of Ernest Ashbridge and Geneva Ashbridge nee Ostby. As a young woman, she was united in marriage and blessed to have two sons. On May 3, 1983, she was united in marriage to Morris Eugene Nevills and their families were joined as one.

Kaye is survived by her husband, Morris Nevills of St. Clair, MO; by two sons, Roberts Daws and wife, Becky, of Little Rock, AR and Anthony Daws of St. Louis, MO; by two step-children, Charlotte Stricker of Union, MO, and Morris Nevills, known to many as Butch, and wife, Kathy, of St. Clair; by nine grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Geneva Ashbridge; by her step-son-in-law, Earl Stricker, Sr., and by one sister, Noreen Eckus.

Kaye was a Christian and member of the First United Methodist Church in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. She was a Nurse Practitioner by trade and had been employed at various places during her working years, including Dr. Richardsonís office, Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, the Visiting Nursesí Association and the Veteranís Administration in North Carolina. Since her retirement, she and Morris had enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed the winters they spent in Florida, Time on the beach was their favorite pastime and many wonderful memories were created. Kaye was a very kind and caring person that would lend a helping hand to anyone. She loved cook books and had acquired quite a collection. Searching eBay for a cook book she didnít have was one of her hobbies. Kaye cherished the time spent with her family, as each held a special place in her heart.

A devoted and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, step-mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with Rev. John Dover officiating. Private committal at a later date. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, St. Clair, MO.
