Keith O’Neal Bowers of Robertsville, MO, departed this life at his home on August 9,2019, having reached the age of sixty-two years, six months and fifteen days. Keith was born in St. Louis, MO, on January 24, 1957, son of Carl Eugene Bowers, Sr. and Christean Esther Magdalene Bowers nee Bland. He was blessed to have two children.
Keith is survived by his children, Garrick Scales and Keona Caldwell, both of St. Louis, MO; by one grandson, Brandon Dillard, Jr. of St. Louis; by his brother, Carl E. Bowers, Jr. and wife, Patricia, known to most as Pat, of Robertsville, MO; by his sister, Pamela Campbell of Robertsville; by his aunt, Myrna Wallace of Robertsville; by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Carl E. Bowers, Sr. and Christean Bowers; by his brother-in-law, George Campbell, Jr., and by his sister-in-law, Kathi Bowers.
Keith was a Christian, having been raised in the Presbyterian faith. During his working years, he had worked at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, as a nurses’ assistant, at Instagram in Pacific, MO and at Rail Serve and Midland. His passion was working on cars and in recent years he was a self-employed mechanic. Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes. Keith had an active imagination and loved to watch science fiction movies. He was an avid reader and especially liked reading science fiction stories. Nothing made him happier than the time he spent with his children and his grandson was his pride and joy.
A kind and loving father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services were held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 4390 Hwy N, Robertsville, MO, with the Rev. Clifford McDaniels officiating. Private committal will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. The family entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
