Mary Jean Osborn of Union, MO, formerly Lonedell, MO, departed this life at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on June 4, 2019, having reached the age of eighty-nine years, six months ant thirteen days. Mary was born in St. Louis, MO, on November 21, 1929, daughter of Osa Hanson and Margaret Hanson nee Voss. On October 21, 1949, she was united in marriage to John A. Wright and four children came to bless this union. On November 25, 1978, she was united in marriage to Alden Osborn, known to all as Ozzie, and they were blessed to have thirty-one years together.

Mary is survived by two sons, John Wright of St. Louis, MO, and Kevin Wright and wife, Karen, of Union, MO; by three grandchildren, Glenn Wright and fiancÚ, Erin McClellan, of Portland, OR, Jesse Wright and wife, Sarah, of San Diego, CA, and Rene Wright of Union, MO; by two great-grandchildren, Vivian and Shannon Wright of San Diego; by one brother, Charles Hanson and wife, Joyce, of Roanoke, VA; by two great-nieces, great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Osa and Margaret Hanson; by her husbands, John Wright and Ozzie Osborn; by two daughters, Pamela Wright and Debbie Coontz; and by one nephew, Rocky Hanson.

Mary was a Christian, having been raised in the Baptist faith. During her working years, she was employed at the Mehlville School District, retiring after twenty-five years of service to the district. After retiring, she and Ozzie enjoyed traveling and visiting much of the United States. She was especially fond of mountains and waterfalls. In recent years, she enjoyed the fellowship of good friends at the Union Senior Center and Greyhawk Village. She also liked to listen to country and gospel music. Nothing was more important to her than her family and she always attended events that her grandchildren were participating in. Many wonderful memories have been created and the love shared will never be forgotten.

A devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with memorial services at 11:00 AM at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with Rev. Thomas Wissler officiating. Interment was in Rolla City Cemetery, Rolla, MO. Memorials may be made to the Union Senior Center, 1329 Union Ave., Union, MO 63084.
