Carolyn Sue Williams of St. Clair, MO, departed this life in St. Clair on December 25, 2018, having reached the age of eighty-six years, five months and nine days. Carolyn was born in Washington, IN, on July 16, 1932, daughter of Charles Patrick Boyer and Marjorie Thelma Boyer nee Pride. In October of 1956, she was united in marriage to Richard W. Ford and three children came to bless this union. On August 13, 1976, she was united in marriage to Richard C. Williams, Sr. and their families were joined as one.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Richard Williams, Sr., known to most as Dick, of St. Clair, MO; by five children, Charles Ford and wife, Vickie, of Harrisville, UT, Katheryn Ford Litalien and husband, Jim, of Pleasant View, UT, Karen Dierker and husband, Joe, of Lonedell, MO, Richard C. Williams, Jr., known to most as Rick, and wife, Maureen, of Troutdale, OR and Teresa Flory and husband, Jeff, of Vincennes, IN; by eleven grandchildren, Jeremy Ford of Greenwood, IN, Jennifer Schuchman and husband, Craig, of Salida, CO, Laura Francisco and husband, Richard, of House Springs, MO, Mike Dierker of St. Clair, John Paul Dierker and wife, Dawn, of Lonedell, Amber Lewis and husband, Dustin, and Justin Williams, both of Altus, OK, Tyler Earley and wife, Tiffani, of Lafayette, IN, and Cameron Earley, Levi Flory and Lindsey Flory all of Vincennes; by one sister, Patty Gill of Washington, IN; by twenty great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Carolyn was a Christian and current member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, MO, and a past member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Vincennes, IN. She also was a past member of the Ladies of the Altar at St. Vincent's Church. She had made caring for her home and family her career in life and she never tired of her job. She was also a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association Auxiliary and The Retired Enlisted Association Auxiliary. She enjoyed many pastimes and interests during her life, including reading and doing cross word puzzles. She was happiest when she was spending time with her children and grandchildren and many wonderful memories were created.
A devoted and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was held on from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with rosary services at 6:30 PM. Visitation was held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Vincennes, IN, with a funeral mass at 11:00 AM with Father Donald Ackerman officiating. Interment was in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Washington, IN. Memorials may be made to St. Clare Catholic Church or The Alzheimer's Foundation.
