Heather Marie Hemker of Union, MO, departed this life at her home in Union on December 21, 2018, having reached the age of thirty-seven years, ten months and twenty-four days. Heather was born in Washington, MO, on January 27, 1981, daughter of Roger William Hemker and Dianna Marie Hemker nee Kelley. As a young woman she was blessed to have three children.
Heather is survived by her father, Roger Hemker and wife, Shari, of St. Clair, MO; by her children, Avari Archer and Zander Hemker of St. Clair; by her grandmother, Betty Hemker of St. Clair; by her brother, Ryan Hemker and wife, Krista, of Chicago, IL; by her uncle, Rick Hemker and wife, Laura, of St. Clair; by her aunt, Arlena Campbell and husband, Ben, of St. Clair; by her niece, Lexis Hemker of Chicago; by her nephew, Ryder Hemker of Chicago; by great-aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends.
Heather was preceded in death by her mother, Dianna Hemker, and by her son, Zayne Hemker.
Heather was a Christian and had most recently enjoyed visiting Friendship Baptist Church in St. Clair, MO. During her working career she was employed as a waitress at various area restaurants including Lewis Cafe in St. Clair, Pasta House in Union, MO and Big Boys in Washington, MO. She loved to cook and bake and had most recently worked as a cook at Tops in Union. Heather had an outgoing personality and enjoyed the company of people. Time spent with her family was the most important thing to her and the many precious memories they created will be cherished forever.
A kind and loving daughter, granddaughter, mother, sister, sister-in-law, niece, great-niece, aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial services were held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Parkway Church of the Nazarene in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. John Dover officiating, assisted by the Rev. Andy Barnett. A private committal will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. The family of Heather Marie Hemker entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO.
