Ardath Lucille Jacobs, known to all as Ardy, of Lonedell, MO departed this life in Washington, MO on September 18, 2018, having reached the age of ninety-one years, six months and twenty-seven days. Ardy was born in St. Louis, MO, on February 21, 1927, daughter of Carl William Becker and Flora Lucille Becker nee Harnagel. On July 24, 1948, she was united in marriage to David Jacobs, Jr. and four sons came to bless this union.

Ardy is survived by her sons, David L. Jacobs, known to all as Larry, and companion, Charlene Copeland, of Sullivan, MO, Neal C. Jacobs and wife, Shauna, of Lonedell, MO, Clifford L. Jacobs of Springfield, MO and Michael E. Jacobs and wife, Gail, of St. Clair, MO; by five grandchildren, Kim Jordan and husband, Richard, of Nixa, MO, Janay Hansen and husband, Scott, of Springdale, AR, Brian Jacobs and girlfriend, Crystal Eldridge, of Jeffersonville, IN, Benjamin Jacobs of Amarillo, TX and Carrie Yanez of Conroe, TX; by eleven great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Ardy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Flora Becker; by her husband, David Jacobs, Jr., and by her brother, Carl S. Becker.

Ardy was a Christian and long time member of the United Methodist Church of St. Clair, MO. She made caring for her home and family her mission in life and never tired of her job. Ardy was a forty-two year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Robertsville Chapter 444. She was also a past member and past president of Lonedell PTA, as well as a past member of the Franklin County Home Economics Council and the Hickory Flat Farm Club. Ardy enjoyed bowling in her younger years. She also enjoyed doing crochet, reading, playing the piano and raising beautiful flowers in her yard. Spending time with her family gave her great joy and many wonderful memories were created.

A devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. John Hampton, Jr. officiating. Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union, MO. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of St. Clair, MO.
