Christopher James Brian Nelson of Leasburg, MO, formerly St. Clair, MO, departed this life in Town and Country, MO, on September 7, 2018, having reached the age of thirty-five years, eight months and four days. Chris was born in Washington, MO, on January 3, 1983, he is the son of Brian David Nelson, Sr. and Wendy Kay Holt nee Emmons. He was blessed to have two children.
Christopher is survived by his parents, Wendy Holt of Leasburg, MO and Brian D. Nelson, Sr. of Colorado Springs, CO; by his step-mother, Cindy Nelson and husband, Josh, of St. Clair, MO; by his sons, Justin K. and Landon J. Nelson of Gosnell, AR; by four siblings, Jacob Nelson of Colorado Springs, Natashia Bean of St. Clair, Brian D. Nelson Jr. and wife, Ashley, of Colorado Springs and Ashleigh Roehrig of Marthasville, MO; by his fiancée, Shelly Weimer of St. Clair, MO; by his aunt, Kim Crowell of St. Clair; by his uncle, John Lee Emmons and wife, Sue, of St. Clair; by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Christopher was a Christian and enjoyed visiting Mercy Ministries Church in St. Clair, MO. For nine years, he was employed as a dye mixer at the Alpha Foundry in Wright City, MO. Christopher was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching all sports but especially Cardinals baseball. Fishing was one of his hobbies and taking his sons fishing was his favorite pastime. Christopher enjoyed the fellowship of friends and family and many wonderful memories were created.
A kind and loving son, father, brother, fiancé, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services were held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Mercy Ministries Church in St. Clair, MO, with the Rev. David Godat officiating. Private committal will take place at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lonedell, MO. Memorials may be made to the family. The family entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, MO.
