OBITUARY

Robert Eugene Nine, known to most as Bob, of Lonedell, MO, departed this life at his daughter's home in Washington, MO, surrounded by the love of his family, on July 25, 2018, having reached the age of eighty-two years, five months and twenty-five days. Bob was born in St. Louis, MO, on January 30, 1936, son of George Nine and Nora Nine nee Evans. On April 22, 1961, he was united in marriage to Raepholetta Josephine Heiney, known to all as Rae, and one daughter came to bless this union.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Audray Rhinehart of Washington, MO; by two grandchildren, Amanda Harris and fiancÚ, Thor Sacchi, of Union, MO and James Nine of Union; by one great-grandson, Gabriel Miller of Union; by one brother, Harry Nine of St. Charles, MO; by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nora Nine; by his wife, Rae Nine, and by two sisters, Betty Fiesler and Virginia Allen.

Bob was a Christian of the Southern Baptist faith, believing in the Lord as his Savior. He began his working career with General Motors in St. Louis, MO at the age of seventeen and retired after thirty years of service to the company. He was also a retiree of the United Auto Workers, Local 25 of St. Louis. Bob was an outdoorsman at heart and enjoyed many outdoor activities. He loved to go hunting and fishing and for many years, rented a cabin at the river where he enjoyed boating. He had a fondness for animals of all kinds and enjoyed caring for his pets. Barbequing for the family was his passion and many wonderful memories were created. Bob was a kind man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He was happiest when he was with his daughter and grandchildren.

A kind and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great and great-great-uncle, cousin and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, MO, with Chaplain Gary Daud officiating. Interment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair, MO. Memorials may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, Union, MO.
